School Apartments (On-Site)
Deluxe Apartments in the historic La Thaumassière château, our school building in the heart of Sancerre.
"Gabriel" -- Studio apartment, can sleep 2
"Margaux" -- One bedroom apartment, can sleep up to 4 (2 large beds) in one large bedroom
"Louis" -- Two bedroom apartment, can sleep up to 5 (2 bedrooms: 1BR with 2 single beds + 1BR with large bed)
School facilities (classrooms, etc.) are located on the ground floor and the upper floors house the apartments.
This historic 400 year-old château is home to Coeur de France -- and to students choosing one of the 3 deluxe apartments located here!

Bringing your laptop/notebook with you? All apartments at the school have ADSL wireless Internet access! Enjoy absolutely free Internet access 24 hour per day!
More than suites, these are fully-furnished deluxe apartments. Each apartment has polished oak floors, oriental rugs and classic period furniture. All are furnished with complete kitchens including pots/pans, dishes, etc. Linens (sheets and towels) are provided at no extra charge of course.
Each apartment has a private bathroom with stand up shower (hair dryers are provided). The Louis also has a bath.
The 1 bedroom "Margaux" and the 2 bedroom "Louis" apartments have their own clothes washers and dryers for your convenience.
Note: ALL apartments at La Thaumassière château are strictly nonsmoking and absolutely no pets are permitted.
Weekly Rates
Year around weekly rates are quite reasonable. For about the same cost as a single hotel room in Sancerre you can have an apartment right above the school!
The apartments are available for rental by the week only. Non-student guest(s) may stay with you for a 30 euro per night/guest surcharge.
- GABRIEL studio apartment 550 euros per week
- MARGAUX 1 bedroom apartment 650 euros per week
- LOUIS 2 bedroom apartment 750 euros per week
The apartments are rented to you exclusively. They are not a dormitory and you may not share them with another student UNLESS previously arranged with Coeur de France.
